NLP - Neuro Linguistic Programming: Designing a better future.

Believe it or not, therapy can be fun and effective. NLP can be a particularly useful, and fun way to change (improve) state and improve your life.

Developed by Richard Bandler and John Grinder, NLP is broadly based on the therapeutic work of Fritz Perls (Gestalt Therapist), Virginia Satir (Family Therapist) and Milton Erickson (Psychiatrist).

Neuro - deals with how your brain works and processes information through your 5 senses.

Linguistic - involves the language patterns you use.

Programming - refers to how you structure your communication and thinking to get the results you want.

Some of the issues that NLP is really effective for include:

  • Building confidence
  • Developing and enhancing Charisma
  • Public Speaking and Presentation
  • Dealing with Phobias- e.g. flights, spiders etc.
  • Dealing with Depression - Quickly
  • Setting and achieving life, personal and career goals
  • Improving communications
  • Smoking Cessation
  • Reducing Stress
  • Designing a better future.
  • Simply feeling better, more often

I was trained by Irish Institute of NLP (See www.nlp.ie) and am registered as a practitioner in Neuro Linguistic Programming. I often incorporate aspects of NLP in my therapy work with clients like you and I believe that a supportive environment, good rapport and a combination of approaches can be really helpful - and fun.
